Soybean prices increased by 12 to 14 cents on Wednesday, with the cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price reaching $11.39 1/4, up 12 cents. Soymeal futures rose by 10 to 90 cents, while Soy Oil futures climbed between 122 to 175 points. The USDA is set to release Export Sales data on Thursday, with expectations of 250,000-800,000 MT of 2025/26 soybeans sold for the week ending March 3, and estimates for soybean oil sales between 150,000 to 400,000 MT.
Additionally, oil prices surged by $5.44 amid ongoing geopolitical tensions regarding Iran, even as the International Energy Agency prepared to release 400 million barrels of ethanol reserves. The EPA is expected to officially announce this year’s Renewable Volume Obligation (RVO) figure, reportedly around 5.4 billion gallons, later this month.
