Soybean prices are experiencing modest gains, with the national average Cash Bean price rising 1.25 cents to $11.99 1/4 on Thursday. Soymeal futures decreased by 30 cents, trading at $1.10, while Soy Oil saw gains between 110 to 120 points. The USDA reported 150,000 MT of 2026/27 soybeans were sold to unspecified destinations.
The ProFarmer Crop Tour indicated Illinois pod counts averaged 1,430.37 in a 3’x3’ square, marking a 3.3% decrease from last year but a 2.93% increase from the three-year average. Export Sales data revealed old crop bean sales reached 85,016 MT for the week of August 13, a three-week high, and new crop business totaled 1.723 MMT, 52.07% higher than the same week last year.
Soybean meal sales were reported at 478,786 MT, aligning with estimates, while bean oil sales totaled 1,225 MT. Current prices for Sep 26 Soybeans are at $12.22 1/4, with Nov 26 Soybeans at $12.37 3/4 and Jan 27 Soybeans at $12.52 1/2.
