Corporate earnings are experiencing exceptional growth, with S&P 500 companies expected to report a 23.0% increase in Q3 2026 earnings compared to the same period last year, driven by an 11.1% rise in revenues. Fourteen out of sixteen sectors are projected to see earnings growth, with six sectors exhibiting double-digit increases.
While the Q2 earnings season is concluding, around a dozen S&P 500 companies have yet to release their results. This momentum reflects a positive trend over the last two years, creating a strong outlook for future market performance.
Key contributors to the tech sector’s growth include Alphabet (GOOGL), Micron (MU), and Nvidia (NVDA). Excluding these companies, Q3 earnings for the rest of the tech sector would show an 18.7% growth rate, compared to a robust 40.5% with them included.
