SpaceX Plans Record $80 Billion IPO

SpaceX is preparing for what could be the largest Initial Public Offering (IPO) in history, aiming to raise between $40 billion and $80 billion. This offering, which may occur within the next few months, significantly exceeds the $25.6 billion raised by Saudi Aramco during its 2019 IPO.

In a departure from traditional IPOs, SpaceX plans to allocate 30% of its shares to retail investors, collaborating with platforms like E*TRADE and Morgan Stanley to facilitate this outreach. Current valuations for SpaceX suggest a price of around $612 per share in private markets, indicating a valuation near $1.5 trillion, with the potential to reach $2 trillion post-IPO.
