Tesla’s New Roadster Launch and Future Focus
Tesla is set to launch its new Roadster electric sports car, priced between $200,000 and $250,000, with CEO Elon Musk calling it one of the most exciting product unveils. However, analysts predict only a few thousand units will be sold in 2027, which is unlikely to significantly impact Tesla’s sales trajectory.
Musk indicated that most of Tesla’s future production will shift towards the Cybercab robotaxi, which depends on the approval of regulatory modifications and enhancements to full self-driving technology, expected in late 2026 or early 2027. Instead, he emphasized that the real focus for Tesla’s growth through 2026 should be on the Optimus robot, with significant potential for industry applications, despite challenges in scaling production.
