Nominating the Best and Brightest
Calling upon all stakeholders, the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame encourages organizations and the general public to nominate individuals who have significantly contributed to the industry’s advancement. To be considered for induction, nominations must be submitted through recognized member organizations or associate member organizations, such as the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum and The Mining Associations of various Canadian provinces.
For the upcoming induction cycle in 2025, the key deadlines are as follows:
- May 1, 2024: Deadline for reaching out to a member or associate member organization for a nomination.
- May 31, 2024: Deadline for the submission of nomination materials to the respective organization for review.
Guidelines and Criteria
For a nomination to be considered, the submission package must adhere to the stipulated criteria and should not exceed six pages along with a Nominator Letter of a maximum of two pages. Furthermore, each nomination must be accompanied by a minimum of five and a maximum of ten letters of endorsement, underscoring the widespread support and acknowledgment of the nominee’s contributions.
