AI Chip Market Update
Nvidia, the leading provider of general-purpose graphics processing units (GPUs), is projected to maintain a 75% market share in the AI GPU segment, which could reach a total addressable market of $486 billion by 2033, according to Bloomberg Intelligence. Last year, the revenue from AI processing semiconductors surpassed $200 billion, signaling a booming industry.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC), holding nearly 70% of the foundry market, continues to support companies like Nvidia and AMD as they navigate increasing demand for custom semiconductor solutions. The company’s leadership plans to invest in expanding manufacturing facilities to capitalize on growth in AI chip infrastructure.
Micron Technology reported a 69% year-over-year revenue increase in its dynamic random access memory (DRAM) division for Q1 2026, driven by the rising need for high-bandwidth memory in AI workloads. Analysts expect Micron’s earnings per share to triple this year, positioning the company as a key player in the evolving AI landscape.
