The global addressable market for artificial intelligence (AI) is projected by PwC analysts to reach $15.7 trillion by 2030, highlighting AI’s transformative potential across various industries. Nvidia has emerged as a key player, witnessing its market capitalization increase by over $3 trillion in less than two years, briefly becoming the most valuable publicly traded company.
Nvidia’s dominance is attributed to its Hopper and Blackwell GPU architectures, which see high demand in AI-driven data centers, yielding a gross margin exceeding 70% in fiscal 2025. However, historical patterns suggest that market leaders, like Nvidia, may face setbacks due to overvaluation and overestimation of new technology adoption.
As a point of comparison, Berkshire Hathaway (approximately $780 billion market cap), Visa ($715 billion), and Walmart ($765 billion) are identified as potential challengers to Nvidia’s valuation by 2035, leveraging their robust business models and capacity for growth in economic cycles.
