Thursday Market Underperformers: Utilities and Consumer Goods Sectors

As of midday Thursday, the Utilities sector has seen a 0.4% loss, with notable declines in Vistra Corp (VST) down 2.7% and Constellation Energy Corp (CEG) down 2.6%. The Utilities Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLU) is down 0.8% on the day but has gained 12.99% year-to-date. Vistra Corp’s year-to-date increase stands at 84.47%, while Constellation Energy Corp has increased by 46.47%.

Meanwhile, the Consumer Products sector is down 0.1%, with Ford Motor Co. (F) and LKQ Corp (LKQ) experiencing significant losses of 17.3% and 12.3%, respectively.
