On Thursday, construction materials and machinery shares experienced a decline of approximately 1.6%, largely driven by JELD-WEN Holding, which fell by 5.6%, and Knife River, down by 3.1%.
Packaging and containers also lagged the market, dropping by about 1.5%. Key contributors to this decline included Smurfit Westrock and International Paper, both trading lower by 2.7%.
