Thursday’s Significant Options Activity: SNOW, AIG, HTZ

Options trading volume surged today in the Russell 3000 index. Snowflake Inc (SNOW) recorded 84,223 contracts traded, amounting to approximately 8.4 million underlying shares, which is 129.7% of its average daily trading volume over the past month of 6.5 million shares. Notably, the $217.50 strike call option expiring June 13, 2025, had 34,105 contracts traded, equating to about 3.4 million underlying shares.

American International Group Inc (AIG) saw options trading volume of 44,038 contracts, representing around 4.4 million underlying shares, or 125% of its average daily trading of 3.5 million shares. The $70 strike call option expiring June 20, 2025, recorded 20,354 contracts, approximately 2.0 million underlying shares.

Additionally, Hertz Global Holdings Inc (HTZ) reported 108,119 contracts traded, representing about 10.8 million underlying shares, or 124.9% of its average daily trading volume of 8.7 million shares. The $9 strike call option expiring July 18, 2025, had 25,540 contracts traded, accounting for roughly 2.6 million underlying shares.
