Microsoft’s Revenue Growth Insight
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) reported revenue of $77.7 billion for the first quarter of fiscal 2026, an 18% increase year-over-year, with net income rising to $27.7 billion, up 12%. The Intelligent Cloud segment generated $30.89 billion, marking a 28.2% increase from the previous year, and is on track to possibly surpass the Productivity and Business Processes segment, which includes Microsoft 365 applications.
Headquartered in Redmond, Washington, Microsoft has seen its overall revenue grow by over 230% in the last decade, with earnings per share and net income increasing more than 500%. The company is ranked as the No. 4 stock among the “Magnificent Seven” for 2026, indicating a strong investment potential despite facing heightened competition from prominent players like Nvidia, Alphabet, and Meta Platforms.
