Trip.com Reports Below Expectations for Q1 Earnings

Trip.com (NASDAQ: TCOM) reported earnings of $0.83 per share for the quarter ended March 2026, falling short of the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.85. This marks a slight year-over-year increase from $0.82 per share. The company’s revenue reached $2.35 billion, exceeding expectations by 0.99% and showing an increase from $1.91 billion a year ago.

Despite the revenue surpassing estimates, Trip.com experienced a year-to-date decline of approximately 36.7%, contrasting with the S&P 500’s gain of 7.6%. Over the last four quarters, Trip.com has beaten consensus revenue estimates four times but only surpassed EPS estimates twice. Looking forward, the consensus EPS estimate for the upcoming quarter stands at $1.09 on revenues of $2.5 billion, while the fiscal year estimate is $4.12 on $10.44 billion in revenues.

As of now, Trip.com holds a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), indicating it is expected to perform in line with the market. The company’s standing within the Leisure and Recreation Services industry also places it in the bottom 25% of over 250 Zacks industries, suggesting potential challenges ahead.
