Despite ongoing U.S.-China trade tensions, NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA) reported robust quarterly results throughout 2025, driven by the booming demand for artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The company’s stock surged 38.8% last year, supported by strong sales of its Blackwell chips and CUDA software platform.
However, two competitors outperformed NVIDIA: D-Wave Quantum Inc. (QBTS) and Palantir Technologies Inc. (PLTR). D-Wave’s revenue for the fiscal third quarter of 2025 reached $3.7 million, doubling year over year, while total revenues for the first nine months of the year amounted to $21.8 million, a 235% increase from the previous year. Meanwhile, Palantir reported Q3 revenues of $1.18 billion, up 63% year-over-year, and expects to achieve between $4.396 billion and $4.400 billion in total sales for 2025.
Looking ahead, D-Wave is projected to see earnings growth of 73.3% in 2025, while Palantir anticipates a growth rate of 78.1%. Brokers have set price targets of $38.71 for D-Wave, reflecting a possible 47.5% increase, and $192.67 for Palantir, indicating a potential 6.5% rise from current levels.
