Nvidia and IonQ Collaborate on Quantum Computing
Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) is enhancing its quantum computing infrastructure with the launch of the Ising AI model family, aimed at improving error correction in quantum computers. This initiative coincides with IonQ (NYSE: IONQ) emerging as a key hardware partner within Nvidia’s ecosystem. Nvidia asserts that its Ising models can correct errors about three times more accurately and up to 2.5 times faster than traditional tools.
IonQ has reported achieving a remarkable 99.99% fidelity in two-qubit gate operations and is developing a new 100-qubit machine, aiming for 256-qubit systems by 2026. The company’s revenue surged 202% to $130 million in 2025, with projections of $225-$245 million for 2026. IonQ is also partnered with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, highlighting strong government interest in its technology.
