Netflix Raises Subscription Prices Across All Tiers

Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) has increased its subscription fees in the U.S. effective March 26, 2023. The Standard plan, which allows two devices without ads, now costs $19.99, up from $17.99. The ad-supported plan increased from $7.99 to $8.99, while the Premier plan, offering four devices without ads, rose to $26.99 from $24.99. Additional charges for extra members outside the household also saw a hike.

This annual price adjustment continues a pattern seen in previous years, where subscription prices typically increase by $1-$2. Netflix’s fourth-quarter report indicated that ad revenue rose over 2.5 times to more than $1.5 billion in 2025, with plans to double that figure by 2026. Although some customers have expressed dissatisfaction and threatened cancellations, history suggests that significant revenue gains often offset these losses.
