The SPDR S&P Transportation ETF (XTN) experienced significant trading activity on Tuesday, with over 229,000 shares exchanged, vastly surpassing its three-month average volume of approximately 29,000 shares. As of the same day, shares of XTN were trading flat.
Among the ETF components, American Airlines Group saw a decline of about 3.5% with over 37.7 million shares traded, while JetBlue Airways dropped about 6.4% with more than 15.5 million shares changing hands. In contrast, United Parcel Service (UPS) performed positively, increasing approximately 4.9% during the trading session.
