Fidelity MSCI Materials ETF Sees Surge in Afternoon Trading Volume
The Fidelity MSCI Materials Index ETF is experiencing an unusual spike in trading activity this afternoon, with over 443,000 shares exchanged as of Monday. In stark contrast, the three-month average volume for the ETF is approximately 49,000 shares. As a result, shares of FMAT have increased by about 0.1% today.
High-Volume ETF Components
Notably, among the ETF’s components, Cleveland-Cliffs has the highest trading volume, with over 11.3 million shares traded, resulting in a decline of approximately 3.8%. Coeur Mining follows with a trading volume exceeding 9.9 million shares, down about 4%. In contrast, Sherwin-Williams has shown resilience, climbing about 1.6% today. Meanwhile, MP Materials is lagging behind its peers, trading down approximately 8.2%.
