Nvidia’s Growth in Data Center Sales
Nvidia’s data center sales comprise approximately 90% of its total business, with expectations for the new Vera Rubin chips to account for 20% of this revenue in the third quarter. Vera Rubin is touted as Nvidia’s fastest product ramp-up in history, with orders from significant cloud infrastructure providers like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google’s Google Cloud. The AI sector is projected to spend close to $800 billion on capital expenditures this year and $1.3 trillion next year, further solidifying Nvidia’s position as a leading supplier in this market.
In terms of efficiency, Vera Rubin is expected to increase Nvidia’s revenue per gigawatt of computing capacity from $25 billion with Blackwell to $40 billion. The combined advancements in AI chip technology and hardware manufacturing are likely to drive a projected revenue growth of 70% for next year.
