Cotton futures increased by 20 to 25 points on March 3, 2023, with the March contract at 62.04 cents per pound and the May contract rising 25 points to 64.29 cents. Crude oil prices rose by $0.52 to $75.08 a barrel, while the US dollar index declined by 0.191 points to 98.815.
On the same day, The Seam reported sales of 6,789 bales at an average price of 62.49 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index decreased by 95 points to 74.95 cents. ICE certified cotton stocks remained unchanged at 129,302 bales, while the Adjusted World Price increased by 1.79 cents to 51.84 cents per pound.
