Corn futures saw an increase of 4 to 5 ¼ cents across most contracts on Wednesday, with the national average cash corn price rising to $3.87 1/4, according to CmdtyView. The trading week will conclude on Thursday, as markets will be closed on Friday in observance of Juneteenth.
In the week of June 12, ethanol production totaled 1.102 million barrels per day, down 6,000 bpd from the previous week. Ethanol stocks rose by 22,000 barrels to reach 24.474 million barrels, while ethanol exports decreased by 27,000 bpd to 128,000 bpd. Refiner inputs increased by 13,000 bpd to 920,000 bpd.
Forecasts indicate that much of the U.S. growing region will see precipitation, with up to 4 inches expected from eastern Nebraska to western Pennsylvania and extending south to parts of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and the Gulf.
