Wednesday Sector Highlights: Financial and Services Leaders

As of midday Wednesday, the Financial sector leads with a 0.9% increase, driven by State Street Corp. (STT) up 3.1% and Wells Fargo & Co (WFC) up 2.8%. The Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) is also up 0.4% for the day and has gained 4.74% year-to-date. State Street is up 2.88% year-to-date, while Wells Fargo has risen 7.29%, with both companies making up about 3.8% of XLF’s holdings.

The Services sector follows, gaining 0.6%. TKO Group Holdings Inc (TKO) and Caesars Entertainment Inc (CZR) recorded increases of 5.5% and 4.4%, respectively. The iShares U.S. Consumer Services ETF (IYC) is up 0.5% on the day and 0.27% year-to-date. TKO has risen 25.18% year-to-date, while CZR is down 17.40%, together representing approximately 0.3% of IYC’s holdings.

Overall, eight sectors are up and one is down as of Wednesday afternoon.
