Ford Motor Company reported a 9% decline in U.S. sales in the first quarter of 2026, totaling 457,315 units. Truck sales decreased by 11.3% to 257,475 units, while SUV sales fell 7.8% to 185,766 units. Electric vehicle sales plummeted by 69.6% to 6,860 units, and hybrid vehicle sales were down 19.4% to 41,159 units.
Ford maintained its status as the top truck brand in America, with F-Series sales at 159,901 units, surpassing its closest competitor by 31,000 units. The Ford Explorer, the best-selling three-row SUV, saw a 29.7% sales increase to 61,387 units. The Bronco lineup achieved a record 66,218 units sold.
In comparison, General Motors Company experienced a 9.7% dip in U.S. sales, totaling 626,429 vehicles, while Tesla, Inc. reported a 14% drop in deliveries, with 358,023 vehicles delivered in Q1 2026.
