Wheat Drives Wednesday’s Grain Market Surge

The wheat market experienced significant gains on Wednesday, with Chicago SRW contracts rising between 11 to 17 cents for front months and 5 to 9 cents for deferred contracts. Kansas City HRW futures increased by 10.5 to 18.75 cents, while Minneapolis spring wheat closed up 9.75 to 13.25 cents. As of July 26, CBOT wheat closed at $6.12 3/4, up 16.75 cents, while KCBT and MIAX wheats also saw similar increases.

Looking ahead, the Export Sales data will be updated on Thursday, with analysts predicting between 300,000 and 700,000 MT in 2026/27 sales, according to a Reuters survey. Additionally, FranceAgriMer estimates French wheat ending stocks at 3.5 MMT, marking a 0.22 MMT increase from the prior month. Algeria has secured approximately 800,000 MT of wheat in a recent tender.
