Wheat prices showed mixed results in early trading on Thursday, with winter wheats projected to experience losses of 3 to 5 cents, while spring wheat was higher. On Wednesday, Chicago SRW contracts noted gains of 11 to 17 cents, and KC HRW futures increased by 10.5 to 18.75 cents. Open interest declined, with Chicago down 2,912 contracts and KC down 5,888 contracts. Preliminary data indicates that traders anticipate export sales to fall between 300,000 and 700,000 metric tons for the 2026/27 period.
FranceAgriMer has revised the French wheat ending stocks to 3.5 million metric tons, marking an increase of 220,000 metric tons from May. Additionally, Algeria has reportedly purchased approximately 800,000 metric tons of wheat in a recent tender.
