The wheat market showed mixed results on Thursday, March 26, with Chicago SRW futures rising by 4 to 6 cents, while KC HRW futures fell by 1 to 2 cents. MPLS spring wheat remained steady to 2 cents higher. The CBOT wheat closed at $5.71 3/4, up 6 cents, and May CBOT wheat closed at $5.74 1/2, up 4 3/4 cents. In contrast, March KCBT wheat closed at $5.51 1/2, down 1 cent, and May KCBT wheat at $5.62 1/4, down 2 cents.
Weekly export sales for the week of February 19 reported 242,964 MT, a 6-week low and down 9.68% year-over-year, with Mexico being the largest buyer at 135,300 MT. Additionally, Saudi Arabia issued a tender for 655,000 MT of wheat, with a deadline for offers set for Friday.
