Wheat Market Trends as December Trading Begins

The wheat market showed mixed results on Monday, November 27, with Chicago SRW futures up ¼ cent for nearby December contracts, while other contracts fell by 2 to 3 cents. Kansas City HRW futures were also mixed, with December rising 1 ½ cents. In export inspections, 384,881 MT (14.14 mbu) of wheat were shipped, marking a 19.89% decrease from the previous week but a 28.89% yearly increase. Key destinations included Vietnam with 58,864 MT and Mexico with 51,792 MT.

Delayed export sales for the week of October 23 reported total wheat sales at 499,778 MT, exceeding projections between 350,000 and 650,000 MT, and reflecting a 46.43% increase from the prior week. Russia’s wheat crop for 2025/26 is estimated at 86.5 MMT, a decrease of 1.9 MMT from previous estimates, while Australia’s wheat crop is projected at 35.6 MMT, a 4% rise from 2024/25.
