Wheat Market Update for Friday

On Friday, the wheat complex exhibited mixed trading, with Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soft red wheat futures gaining 1 to 2 cents. Kansas City hard red winter (KC HRW) wheat futures remained steady, while Minneapolis spring wheat futures also rose by 1 to 2 cents. Notably, Taiwan flour mill importers purchased 80,550 metric tons of wheat from the US in a recent tender.

Weather forecasts suggest that winter wheat planting may be delayed in north-central Kansas due to expected rainfall of 1 to 2 inches within the next week.

As of publication, December 2025 CBOT wheat is priced at $5.16 1/2 (up 1 3/4 cents), March 2026 CBOT wheat at $5.33 3/4 (up 1 1/4 cents), and December 2025 MGEX wheat at $5.62 1/4 (up 1 3/4 cents).
