The wheat complex experienced mixed trading on Tuesday, July 26, 2023, with Chicago SRW contracts closing up 3.5 to 6.25 cents, while KC HRW futures fell by up to 6.25 cents. MPLS spring wheat also saw a decline, losing 1.75 to 4.75 cents.
According to NASS Crop Progress data, 95% of the U.S. winter wheat crop had headed by Sunday, 4% ahead of the typical pace, with the harvest at 25%, compared to the 13% average. The Brugler500 index rose by 4 points to 267, and conditions of winter wheat were reported as 27% good/excellent. The EU’s wheat exports from July 1 to June 14 reached 22.38 million metric tons (MMT), an increase of 1.44 MMT from the previous year.
Closing prices for July 26 include: CBOT Wheat at $5.96 (up 6.25 cents), KCBT Wheat at $6.33 (down 6.25 cents), and MIAX Wheat at $6.12 (down 3.75 cents).
