On Wednesday, the wheat complex saw declines across all three exchanges, with Chicago SRW futures dropping 5.5 cents to close at $5.66 3/4, KC HRW futures down by 5.25 cents at $5.65 1/4, and MPLS spring wheat falling 2.5 cents to $5.99 3/4. The drop reflects a broader market trend, with Kansas City futures also experiencing a decline of 5 to 7 cents.
Looking ahead, Export Sales data will be released on Thursday, with expectations of net wheat sales ranging from 200,000 to 500,000 metric tons for the week ending February 26. Additionally, Statistics Canada will announce planting intentions for wheat, with estimates pointing to 26.4 million acres, a decrease from 26.9 million acres last year, while spring wheat is expected to remain steady at 18.8 million acres.
