On Friday, the wheat market experienced losses with CBT soft red wheat futures down 9 to 11 cents, KC HRW futures down 10 to 12 cents, and MPLS spring wheat futures down 5 to 7 cents. The USDA reported US ending stocks for 2025/26 increased by 57 million bushels (mbu) to 901 mbu, driven by a production increase of 58 mbu to 1.985 billion bushels (bbu).
World ending stocks rose by 7.37 million metric tons (MMT), totaling 271.43 MMT, as global production increased by 12.69 MMT to 828.89 MMT. The USDA also reported 110,000 metric tons of white wheat were sold to Bangladesh on October 2. In France, 89% of the soft wheat crop is reported as planted, with 98% in good to excellent condition.
