Wheat Market Sees Red as Prices Dip on Thursday

Current Futures Prices Reflect Softening Demand

The wheat market is experiencing declines on Thursday. Chicago SRW futures are down by 3 to 5 cents at midday. Meanwhile, KC HRW contracts are seeing a drop of 5 to 7 cents in the front months during today’s trading session. MPLS spring wheat futures are also experiencing losses of 4 to 6 cents throughout the day.

Export Sales Report Anticipated Tomorrow

This Friday, the weekly Export Sales report will be released, with estimates suggesting between 200,000 and 500,000 metric tons (MT) in 2024/25 wheat sales for the week ending December 26. Expected sales for 2025/26 are projected to range from 0 to 75,000 MT.

Current Futures Prices

Mar 25 CBOT Wheat is at $5.47, down 4 1/2 cents.

May 25 CBOT Wheat is at $5.58 3/4, down 3 3/4 cents.

Mar 25 KCBT Wheat is at $5.53, down 6 1/4 cents.

May 25 KCBT Wheat is at $5.62 1/4, down 5 1/2 cents.

Mar 25 MGEX Wheat is at $5.90, down 5 3/4 cents.

May 25 MGEX Wheat is at $5.98 3/4, down 4 3/4 cents.
