The wheat market experienced losses on Friday, with Chicago SRW contracts decreasing by 11 to 13 cents, and KC HRW futures down 8 to 10.5 cents. Export sales reported wheat sales at 5.522 million metric tons (MMT), reflecting a 16% decline from the previous year and representing 26% of the USDA’s export projection, which is below the 28% five-year average.
In France, the soft wheat crop is estimated at 74% in good/excellent condition, a drop of 2 percentage points from last week, with harvesting reported at 7% complete. The durum wheat crop stands at 58% in good/excellent condition, down 6 points from the prior week, with 19% of the crop harvested.
