Wheat prices are experiencing a rebound with the September 25 CBOT Wheat up 15 cents to $5.48 1/2, while December 25 CBOT Wheat increased by 14.5 cents to $5.68 3/4. Kansas City and Minneapolis wheat contracts also gained between 3 to 14 cents. Additionally, the dollar index is showing a slight decline from previous gains.
As of the marketing year’s current date, USDA reports wheat export commitments at 8.259 million metric tons (MMT), representing 36% of the projected balance sheet and slightly above the average pace. The Rosario Grains Exchange anticipates Argentina’s 2025/26 wheat crop at 20 MMT, a decrease from last year’s 20.7 MMT. In France, the wheat crop is rated at 69% good/excellent, reflecting a 1-point increase from the prior week, with 71% of the harvest completed.
