The U.S. wheat complex experienced a decline on Wednesday, with Chicago SRW futures down 11 to 13 cents, KC HRW futures losing 13 to 14 cents, and MPLS spring wheat dropping 7 to 8 cents. This comes after snowfall across parts of the central Plains provided relief amid concerns about sub-zero temperatures.
In Texas, the state Crop Progress report indicated that 33% of the wheat crop is in good to excellent condition, a 3% decrease from the previous week. The Brugler500 index rating fell by 9 points to 300.
On the international front, Taiwan’s importers procured 102,450 metric tons (MT) of U.S. wheat on Thursday, while Japan’s weekly tender resulted in purchases of 96,160 MT. Additionally, Canada and Australia received 34,890 MT of U.S. wheat.
