On Thursday, the wheat markets experienced midday gains in winter wheat contracts, with soft red wheat futures at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBT) increasing by 4 to 5 cents. Kansas City hard red winter (HRW) wheat futures rose by 1 to 2 cents, while Minneapolis spring wheat futures saw fractional losses.

The USDA will not release its weekly Export Sales report this week due to a government holiday, impacting projected wheat sales estimated between 300,000 to 650,000 metric tons for the week of October 9. As of midday, December 25 CBT wheat is priced at $5.03, up 4.25 cents, and December 25 Kansas City wheat is priced at $4.90, up 2 cents.
