The U.S. wheat market showed mixed results as of Monday. CBT soft red wheat futures increased by 1 to 2 cents, while KC HRW futures fell slightly, and MPLS spring wheat saw gains up to 1 ¼ cents. As of September 11, the U.S. spring wheat crop was 94% harvested, 2% ahead of the normal pace, with winter wheat planting at 11%, trailing the 5-year average of 13%.
According to the USDA, wheat export shipments for the week ending September 11 totaled 775,073 metric tons (27.479 million bushels), an increase of 80.6% from the previous week and 31.34% from the same week last year. Major destinations included Mexico (202,728 MT), Indonesia (162,277 MT), and South Korea (100,712 MT). Current marketing year exports for 2025/26 stand at 7.855 MT, which is 12.09% above last year’s figures.
