Wheat Prices Surge on Tuesday as Bulls Take Control

Wheat prices increased on Tuesday, with Chicago SRW contracts rising by 3 ¾ to 8 ¾ cents, while KC HRW futures were up by 3 ½ to 7 ¾ cents. The final crop progress report indicated that 62% of the U.S. spring wheat crop was harvested as of Sunday, 10% ahead of the normal pace, and this represents a 21% increase from the previous week.

As of September 26, CBOT wheat closed at $6.85 1/2, up 3 3/4 cents; KCBT wheat closed at $7.54 1/2, an increase of 4 cents; and MIAX wheat closed at $6.94, up 1/4 cent. Additionally, Ukraine’s President Zelensky announced a diplomatic approach regarding the recent Black Sea attack on Monday.
