Wheat Trading Ends on a Downward Note This Friday

On Friday, the wheat complex exhibited mixed trading, with hard red wheat contracts showing weakness. CBT soft red wheat futures had December close at $5.15 1/4, down 4 ½ cents for the week, while KC HRW futures decreased 1 to 2 cents, slipping back 8 ½ cents since last Friday to close at $4.97. MPLS spring wheat futures also saw a minor decline, closing December at $5.60 3/4, a decrease of 8 cents for the week.

Taiwan flour mill importers have purchased 80,550 MT of wheat from the U.S. Meanwhile, the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange reports that 93% of the Argentina wheat crop is rated as good/excellent, a 4-point improvement from last week, with an estimated production of 22 MMT.
