Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) has experienced a price decline of approximately 10.4% over the past three months, while the Zacks Internet-Commerce industry and the Retail-Wholesale sector saw declines of 19.3% and 11%, respectively. Despite these figures, Amazon’s long-term investment case remains strong due to ongoing growth in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its Prime membership ecosystem. In Q4 2025, AWS revenue grew 24% year-over-year to $35.6 billion, and operating income increased to $12.5 billion.
For Q1 2026, Amazon forecasts net sales between $173.5 billion and $178.5 billion, reflecting a year-over-year growth of 11% to 15%, with operating income projected between $16.5 billion and $21.5 billion. The company recorded net sales of $716.9 billion in 2025, marking a 12% increase year-over-year.
As of Q4 2025, Amazon’s advertising services revenue rose by 23% to $21.3 billion. The company’s investments and strategic expansions, particularly in AWS and artificial intelligence, are expected to sustain its growth trajectory, although significant capital expenditures projected at $200 billion for 2026 could compress free cash flow, raising concerns about near-term financial flexibility.
