Micron Technology, Inc.’s shares surged in pre-market trading after the company exceeded expectations for the second quarter and offered robust guidance for the third quarter.

With first-quarter revenue hitting $5.82 billion, surpassing the consensus estimate, and adjusted earnings per share at 42 cents—dramatically outperforming the anticipated loss of 25 cents per share—Micron left analysts’ predictions in the dust.

Micron Technology saw its shares climb a remarkable 17.1% to reach $112.69 during pre-market trading.
