Will Higher-Margin Civil Projects Boost Tutor Perini’s Earnings Per Share?

Tutor Perini Corporation (TPC) reported a record revenue of $1.43 billion in its Civil segment for the first half of 2025, marking a 32.3% increase year over year. The Civil segment contributed 51.8% to the company’s total revenue. As of June 30, 2025, the segment’s backlog soared to $11.17 billion, a 155.9% increase compared to the previous year. The company has secured recent contracts worth $217 million, including two civil projects in the Midwest and additional funding for a mass transit project in California.

In light of these results, TPC has raised its 2025 GAAP earnings per share (EPS) guidance to a range of $1.70 to $2.00, and adjusted EPS to $3.65 to $3.95. The upward trend in earnings estimates reflects a significant projected year-over-year growth of 220.8% for 2025. The company’s shares have climbed 24.7% since its earnings release on August 6, 2025, suggesting a strong performance relative to industry peers and the broader market.
