Intel Corporation (INTC) has reported significant improvements in artificial intelligence (AI) inference performance, as demonstrated in the MLPerf Inference v6.0 results. The new benchmarks showcase the efficiency of Intel Xeon 6 CPUs combined with Intel Arc Pro B-Series GPUs, indicating that its systems can execute AI tasks rapidly across various environments including workstations, data centers, and edge devices.

Among the advances, Intel’s configuration with four Arc Pro B70/B65 GPUs offers 128GB of VRAM, achieving up to 1.8 times better performance than its predecessor, the Arc Pro B60. Additionally, optimized software now allows for a performance boost of up to 18% compared to previous tests, enhancing capabilities for large AI models and traditional machine learning tasks.

As AI demand continues to rise, Intel is positioning its hardware and software solutions to meet the needs of graphics professionals and AI developers. In contrast, competitors like Qualcomm Incorporated (QCOM) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) focus on device-specific AI applications and enhancing software for better accessibility to developers, respectively.
