Intel Corporation (INTC) has announced that its latest Xeon 6 processors will power the new NVIDIA DGX Rubin NVL8 systems, developed by NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA). This partnership reflects a shift in the AI industry from large-scale model training towards faster, real-time AI inference across cloud, data centers, and edge devices.
The Intel Xeon 6 processors deliver balanced performance and power efficiency, supporting up to 8 TB of memory and utilizing advanced technology for faster data transfer to GPUs. The inclusion of Intel Trust Domain Extensions (TDX) enhances data security, vital for critical business environments. AMD and Qualcomm are emerging competitors in the CPU market, with both companies advancing their AI capabilities to challenge Intel’s position.
In the stock market, Intel shares have increased by 76.5% in the past year, compared to the industry’s growth of 54%. Currently, Intel’s price/book ratio stands at 1.81, which is significantly lower than the industry average of 27.29.
