Tesla, Inc. (TSLA) has expanded its Model Y offerings to eight additional Asian markets, launching orders for the Model Y L—a long-wheelbase, six-seat electric SUV. The announcement, made public via Teslarati, includes Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines, marking a significant rollout since its introduction in China in August 2025.

Pricing varies by region: in Malaysia, it is estimated at approximately RM260,000, while in Singapore it is S$248,999, and in Macau, it stands at 398,750 patacas. Deliveries are set to commence in Q2 2026. The Model Y L features dimensions of 4,976 mm in length and a cargo capacity of up to 2,539 liters, catering to families in a competitive EV market. The dual-motor AWD system allows acceleration from 0-100 km/h in around 5 seconds and a WLTP range of up to 681 km.

This expansion aligns with Tesla’s strategy to penetrate Asia’s rapidly growing EV market, where demand for spacious electric vehicles is on the rise.
