Marking a triumph over market projections, Worthington Steel reported adjusted earnings of 99 cents per share, surpassing market estimates of 84 cents per share. The company’s quarterly sales revealed an impressive $805.80 million, outshining expectations set at $700.50 million according to data from Benzinga Pro.

The market responded warmly to Worthington Steel’s achievements, propelling its shares to a remarkable 18.8% leap, closing at $37.92 on Friday.

As the market bid farewell to the trading week, several other heavyweight stocks also basked in the glow of positive movement.

  • Foot Locker, Inc. FL gained 5% to $24.85. Analyst Paul Lejuez, from Citigroup, upgraded Foot Locker from Sell to Neutral, setting a $24 price target.
