Amazon Leads the Charge in Dow Jones Stocks on Tuesday
Amazon.com shines bright while Amgen struggles in the market today.
In early trading on Tuesday, shares of Amazon.com emerged as the top performer among Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 1.8%. This marks an impressive 34.9% increase year to date for the e-commerce giant.
On the opposite end, Amgen is the worst performing Dow component today, trading down 11.1%. Looking back over the year, Amgen has dropped around 9.2%.
Meanwhile, two other Dow components are also making headlines today: Boeing, which is trading down 1.2%, and NVIDIA, rising by 1.0% during the session.
