Investors Show Increased Interest on Wednesday
The iShares Global Healthcare ETF is experiencing a notable surge in trading volume this Wednesday afternoon. Over 515,000 shares have changed hands, significantly higher than the three-month average of about 139,000. Currently, shares of IXJ are up by approximately 0.8% for the day.
Among the ETF’s components, Pfizer stands out, trading up about 0.4% with more than 9.0 million shares traded. Merck follows closely, rising approximately 1.5% on a volume of over 2.7 million shares. In a stronger performance, Thermo Fisher Scientific has increased by around 2.9% today, while Universal Health Services is lagging behind, dipping about 1.5%.
