Wheat Prices Rise Midday on All Exchanges

Texas Winter Wheat Conditions Improve

During Tuesday’s midday trading, the wheat market showed positive momentum across all three exchanges. Chicago SRW futures increased by 10 to 12 cents for nearby contracts, while KC HRW futures rose by 7 to 9 cents in the front months. Additionally, MPLS spring wheat gained 9 to 12 cents.

EU Wheat Exports Lag Behind Last Year

On Monday, Texas published its Crop Production report, indicating that winter wheat conditions are at 42% good/excellent, with a Brugler500 index of 322. This represents a slight rise from the previous week’s index of 321 and is significantly better than this time last year.

Current Wheat Futures Prices

According to the EU Commission, wheat exports from the European Union have reached 12.8 million metric tons (MMT) for the marketing year spanning from July 1 to January 26. This figure falls short of the 19.35 MMT export total recorded for the same period last year.

Mar 25 CBOT Wheat is priced at $5.47 1/4, reflecting an increase of 11 3/4 cents.

May 25 CBOT Wheat is currently at $5.60 1/4, up by 10 1/2 cents.

Mar 25 KCBT Wheat stands at $5.62, marking an increase of 8 3/4 cents.

May 25 KCBT Wheat is valued at $5.71, up by 8 1/4 cents.

Mar 25 MGEX Wheat trades at $5.97, with an increase of 11 1/4 cents.

May 25 MGEX Wheat is at $6.06 3/4, an increase of 10 cents.
