Surge Copper (TSXV: SURG) is progressing towards a pre-feasibility study (PFS) for its Berg project in west-central British Columbia, with completion expected by mid-2026. The study, which builds upon a 2023 preliminary economic assessment, aims to refine engineering and optimize design for a large-scale copper, molybdenum, and precious metals project.
The company has expanded its drilling database significantly, from 54,384 meters in 210 holes to 64,574 meters in 237 holes. Recent efforts include comprehensive metallurgical testwork, enhanced pit slope designs through geotechnical investigations, and advancing environmental baseline studies vital for future permitting.
Ausenco Engineering Canada is leading the PFS, supported by Moose Mountain Technical Services, both of which bring extensive PFS and feasibility study experience. Surge continues to engage with Indigenous Nations to foster collaborative planning related to the project.
